The most awaited release in Salesforce.com - The Lightning Experience. The Classic Salesforce got the face lift in UI and feel. The Classic Salesforce referred as Aloha (Aloha which I will be using interchangeably throughout the blog to refer Salesforce Classic) by many needed a revamped look as the feel is very stereotyped. The Salesforce peers have been working on this milestone since long. In Winter - 16 across all the org Lightning Experience will be available.
Lets dive deep into Lightning Experience.
- Lightning Experience is modernized Salesforce Classic with much more flexibility and redundant in terms of the structure.
- The information displayed in the Lightning Experience is more visual rather than text and numbers.
- The interface of Lightning Experience is more dynamic, interactive and animated whereas the Aloha is static HTML pages.
- After making a change, the Lightning Screen is automatically refreshed whereas in Aloha after any changes we need to refresh the page in order to view the changes made.
- The Lightning Experience consists of more drag and drop feature with minimal clicks and codes.
Impact to the Customers : -
- Lightning Experience is big change for the Salesforce as well as to its customers.
- Salesforce has provided facility to its customers to adopt with the new Salesforce eventually and gradually with time.
- So the User/Customer can swap the screen between Lightning and Aloha by just a click which will be demonstrated further.
- If the User is trying to access any feature that is not supported in Lightning, the user will be redirected to the Salesforce Classic and again if something that is supported in Lightning Experience then the user will be redirected to the Lightning Screen.
Enhancements made in the Lightning Experience Window : -
